Mr Ed Sideso is an expert consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon who attends to patients in Reading, Oxford, Maidenhead and Windsor. He specialises in the treatment of varicose veins, aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, carotid artery disease, perirenal vascular disease, diabetic foot disease and spider veins.
He graduated from the University of London with a BSc and went on to achieve his bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery qualifications in 1999. Upon graduating, he undertook high level research at the University of Oxford before undertaking extensive endovascular technique training in Germany and USA.
His clinical research interests include aortic aneurisms, carotid artery disease, aortic dissection, venous disease and peripheral vascular disease.
Since 2016 Mr Sideso has held the role of lead consultant vascular surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, through which he attends to patients at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. He is also available for appointments at The Bridge Clinic, Maidenhead, Circle Reading Hospital and BMI The Princess Margaret Hospital.
Mr Sideso is also extremely passionate about research and education, he regularly contributes to medical publications and research projects which benefit both his peers and patients, as well as helping him stay up to date with the latest developments in his field. He plays an important part in the education and development of the next generation of medical professionals through his role as an honorary senior clinical lecturer and medical school examiner at the University of Oxford, which he has held since 2014.
